It's the best hotel we've ever stayed at in the USA. The other Starwood/SPG hotels with the "St Regis" name in North America that we've stayed at have been absolute HORRIBLE experiences. The St Regis Bal Harbour in Miami was a living nightmare. We are still suffering unresolved issues from our stay there. But the original St Regis in New York is really fabulous. The Butler service is *real* here... not fake like in Miami and other St Regis named properties. The service here is old school and superb. Not fake lip service like all other North American SPG hotels, including other "St Regis" hotels. Sad that Starwood seems to be ruining the St Regis name everywhere else in North America. St Regis in Asia is excellent.
