Orbit - Captain PoV

Hello internet friends, just wanted to shed some light from my perspective on the matter.

Orbit has been nothing but good to us from day 1. We got chairs literally day 2 from when we got signed, monitors on request along with other merchandise. We had a good, steady salary and were very happy with our situation overall. They also payed for flights to bootcamp and honestly its the most support we have gotten from an organisation in Smite in our careers. Not only financially but also interaction and management wise.

When we didn't qualify to worlds obviously a few things were brought to light.
1. Orbit is now losing all exposure from worlds and will not be able to advertise their brand at the stage as they would wish.
2. Orbit would not be able to get a skin from Hirez until later in 2017.

A huge part of the money going in to orbit would be from said skin. So not being able to get it in time along with not making worlds made the investors drop the financial support for smite.

Patrik, CEO of Orbit, who is a terrific guy I should mention, has to make the decision to drop the team because there is no way he can pay us our salary himself without the investors interest.

So in the end its not a particularly good new year for us. We lose our salary and are standing without sponsor Again.

But let me be clear. Patrik has been honest and forthcoming to me about everything that has been going on within Orbit and he's tried his best to keep us in the org, but at the end of the day its all about the money, and without investors backing him there's just not any way for Orbit to fund smite further.

Also let me assure you even if we made worlds this would have been a negative financial situation for Orbit, so when we didn't make worlds. It was more like a small disaster due to the nature of our salaries.

I understand the decision, I think it sucks. But at the end of the day it was the best deal we could have ever gotten this time period in smite anyway so its not something I will lose sleep over.

The team going forward: We are all going our separate ways, and probably wont play smite. Trix is continuing his studies, I am going back to school to finish my masters in twitter trolling, ye you heard me we're staying together and we will play season 4 with the same god damn roster. If someone wants to leave they leave. For now we are motivated and we will work things out together as we always do and start improving our LAN performances drastically.

If there's someone who feels we made a bad decision going with orbit rather than someone else. Let me assure you. Financially and the support I've had from Patrik and Orbit, has been better than any organisation I've been with. Unfortunately it didn't last, but I'm ready for new ADVENTURES.

PS: Looking for team.
PS: Watch the all EU finals 11pm CET.
