Here is a good ol fashioned year-in-review retrospective ramble.

‪(This is more of a personal reflection but it's not real if it's not on social media am I right?)‬

‪I've taken some time during all these crazy layovers and long traveling days this month to try and realign myself creatively for the new year. I saw some people online discussing what I do for a living and they were confused as to why I'm not searching for commissions. Frankly I'm not sure how it applies to other fields but for me and for web design - freelance≠commissions! I really don't do traditional art or illustration. Drawing been my weakness for a long time, especially since I stopped practicing in college. My focus is in web design and UX, which isn't nearly as exciting as digital illustration, but for me, I love looking at user experience online and how design influences action. So you can see how I'm not really in the line of commission-worthy work.‬

‪Some of you guys have also been asking to see what I've done, but my last full-time job was at a digital agency that primarily focused in film advertising. Which, I've learned, doesn't translate well into 120 characters without legitimately sounding like an ad for Assassin's Creed or what have you. I also worry about privacy issues and people figuring out where I've worked, for obvious reasons. So I tend to keep that side of world a little more quiet in this Peebles zone. ‬

‪However! This last year post-graduation and move I've spent a long time mentally sorting out my priorities and where I want to be to find the most personal growth and fulfillment. I've been helping out recently on mark's channel when they need an extra set of hands which is always a blast, but I'm uncomfortable with that being my sole identity, even if it's why 99% of you follow me. For my own sanity. I've realized I miss having a pet project to chip away at and recently I miss just having folks to talk to about design. So I don't know what it will be in 2017, be it a site or videos or a stream or a short film or a game, but I miss creating something that is entirely self-satisfying, and I'm hoping come the new year the grass will be greener in my little nook of the internet.‬
