Faire du Velo Summary


I thought I would give what I designed here for the GDD (a brief summary):

Theme / Setting / Genre
- First-Person Cycling Game set within an almost completely white city. The city will be known as "Ville Blanche." The game is entirely a dream made up by the protagonist's subconscious.
Core Gameplay Mechanics Brief
- To have the "GROWTH" element. In this case to have the gameplay mechanic of "growing" to become a hero or "growing" to become a villain.
- For the player to have the ability to cycle around the city with a choice of two guns to wield on the bicycle (the guns will be on the handlebars) with the option to upgrade the guns for more power as well as the bike to make it faster (these are maybes but would be nice to have).
- Music is a key part of the game, this will feature snippets from Kraftwerk's "Tour de France" soundtrack as well as from their app "Kraftwerk - Kling Klang Machine."
- Mission-based gameplay, around 2 missions for "good" and 2 missions for "bad" with an additional 1 mission for the good ending and an additional 1 mission for the bad ending as well as an ending for being impartial to "good" or "bad." More missions may be added depending on the time limit, one mission on both" good" and" bad" may also be cut depending on the time limit as well as the associated ending.
- In this city there is no law for killing enemies of the state or the city. There is only a law for killing allies of the state or the city.
- The player will also have a health bar.
- Jacque and Claude (he might exist) will have different coloured bicycles.
