Here's a long post about what is happening with POPGOES 2 and Heart of Stone.

Hi everyone! I've decided to make a TwitLonger for this post so that I can repeat some information that a significant portion of my followers seem to have missed out on.

I recently made an announcement revealing that Kellen Goff, the voice actor for Funtime Freddy, will be voicing a role in POPGOES 2. To my surprise, quite a few people responded to this announcement essentially saying "but I thought POPGOES 2 wasn't happening"

I thought at this point it was public that POPGOES 2 has been revived as a project!

But the basic rundown is this: POPGOES 2 is being made at the moment. It is INCREDIBLY early in development still, and information about it will be revealed very slowly. You will not get any big announcements, teasers, a trailer, etc for a LONG time. But I can confirm that I am working on it with an amazing new team of people. One member is, yes, Kellen Goff.

This POPGOES 2 has been dubbed "P2" to separate it from the cancelled POPGOES 2 from about half a year ago. If you ever see me mention "P2", it's going to be about the current POPGOES 2 project. The current P2 project is completely unrelated to POPGOES Encore, and the cancelled POPGOES 2. It's totally new, connected to POPGOES 1, and still doesn't take anything past FNAF3 into account.

Okay so I hope that has cleared that up. Yes, I know I said POPGOES 2 was never going to happen. That was an outright lie, obviously. I wanted to surprise everyone, and so far, it seems like I have succeeded!

Okay, onto the next topic. Heart of Stone.

If you weren't aware, I released something called the "POPGOES Creator Pack" on the 26th of September this year. The Creator Pack was full of assets, guides, images, files, and extra content related to POPGOES for fans to use and enjoy. You can download that on the POPGOES GameJolt page.

The final file of the Creator Pack was the announcement image of a comic called POPGOES: Heart of Stone. You may have seen that same image on my Twitter, or on my website. The comic was being made by an amazing artist, Ellie Patterson (also known as StupidButterfly) and myself. I revealed that the comic was a single short story about Stone the Crow and his past.

Unfortunately, as of today, Heart of Stone has been cancelled. Due to many setbacks and a very tedious development cycle, I have decided to end production on the project. Around 8 pages of the comic were completed, out of a planned total of around 25.

Currently, I plan on either revealing the pages of Heart of Stone over time, or putting them all in the Extras or as unlockables in POPGOES 2. You're free to suggest which you'd prefer, or any other ideas you'd like me to take into consideration. It is sad to see this project fade away, but I think it is the best choice for both Ellie and myself.

Despite the struggle with Heart of Stone, I believe Ellie may try to work on some artwork for POPGOES 2, and of course pursue other things. She was fantastic at her job and it was a pleasure getting to know her! You can check out her DeviantArt here: http://thestupidbutterfly.deviantart.com/
