Chase's Ode to Forgiven (Guess the Lines Challenge Punishment)

For many, losing the final Guess the Lines challenge of the year would be a rather devastating defeat.

Of course, the greatest thing one can do after suffering a defeat is to look at those who have overcome this type of adversity and learning from their glorious example.

Realizing the bitter taste of defeat after such a string of regular season successes has just reminded me of the grit and greatness of the godly Forgiven.

Given his rough start to the summer split, it is remarkable that Forgiven, the closest thing the EU LCS has ever had to the Greek freak, managed to pull off an incredible turn around for the H2k roster.

I cannot overstate the impact Forgiven’s return to this roster had on their rise in power as they head into the World Championships.

Very rarely do we see a late season transfer adapt so quickly and effortlessly to his team’s style of play to allow them to succeed.

Even with doubters waiting anxiously for the moment his fiery, competitive nature backfired against his teammates, he persevered and proved himself on the biggest stage possible.

Not even the likes of AN or Deft were able to match his incredible mechanical prowess.

I could only watch in awe as he demolished all those who stood in his way.

Seriously, given Vander’s weakness in this tournament, there can be no doubt of Forgiven’s greatness when he was able to excel so effortlessly against some of the World’s best bot lanes.

All of the experts who have ever doubted his insane mechanical prowess must now look at his journey from not even playing the game in July to being a world class player in October with reverence and respect.

For all the critiques he has received over the years, Forgiven has powered through it like a Greek cavalry rush through the Persian armies that dared to get in their way.

Reciting every single one of the praises Forgiven so rightfully deserves would be an endless stream of foes vanquished under his boot, much like his namesake, Napoleon.

All of the questions we have had concerning Forgiven over the years have been resolved with a third place finish on the Worlds stage having succeeded as both an individual and as a team player.

Understand that this speech about the greatest ADC in Europe, and perhaps the entire West, comes entirely from the passion that has filled my heart after watching him in this tournament.

Don’t do anything silly like read the first letter of each sentence looking for a secret message.
