90 Days Treatment Update
Yo what's up guys I definitely think an update is overdue. I wanted to wait until today to update you all because I said last time it would take no more than 90 days to get better. So, after 90 days, I have good news and bad news.
Bad news first.
I might have been able to get better in 90 days if I stayed on the full dose of the pill I'm on. After 5 weeks I started having the one complication you can have with this drug, higher estrogen, and had to halve my dose. That side effect is pretty much gone, but it means I'll be improving slower. My endocrinologist told me a while back that it could be early December at the latest before I fully recover based on research he'd read and I was so upset by this at the time I didn't want to tell anyone. What I do want to tell everyone is some updated bloodwork numbers I'll have in a few weeks, so while I can't give specifics right now more are on the way. What this means for events is that Big House is pretty unlikely but November events are more on the table. That's too far away and I don't have enough information to know right now what my chances are though!
Now for the good news. I can definitely tell I have more energy, humor, and thinking abilities than before. My awareness is still much much lower than what I need to have to be functional, but I can tell I'm making meaningful improvements now which is really nice. I'm finally seeing it in my Melee play too which is very reassuring! Also, in a very important addition to that, I'm feeling a lot more drive. I REALLY want to show you all what I mean by that but I think waiting juuuust a little longer is a better idea.
So that's about it for this update. Things are only getting better even if they are slow. I'm going to do all I can to return and do work!
TLDR: 90 days of treatment turned into 180 days and I don't know specifics yet since I haven't had bloodwork in a while. I'm starting to see real improvements in my everyday experience and I'm excited to show you all!
