Looking Forward

Hi everyone,

It wouldn't be a big Smite announcement without a Twitlonger, right? First off, I couldn't be more excited to work at Hi-Rez. Everyone there has been awesome to work with and I can't wait to be a part of the team there. Working as a caster was something that I always wanted to do, but never realistically thought would happen.

A little back story on me, I am a huge sports fanatic that always wanted to work in sports broadcasting. I graduated from Point Park University in Pittsburgh in 2014 with a degree in on-camera broadcasting and immediately started working in sports media in Pittsburgh. Despite finding a quick footing in the field, seeing the state of sports journalism as a whole, as well as locally, from the inside left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. Last year I had the opportunity to start playing Smite professionally on the Xbox, so I decided to take a big gamble and quit my job at the biggest sports radio station in town to pursue Smite. I worked full time at my uncle's restaurant still, but my dream was to work in eSports production or casting at Hi-Rez.

So here we are. I'm still not sure how it all happened but I am beyond excited that it did. Truth be told, I am sad that I am retiring from competitive Smite before I won anything. I'm going to miss competing very much, especially with my teammates, who are some of the best friends I've ever had. To Chapo, Brochacho and Uzzy, I can't thank you guys enough for all of the fun we had. We passed being teammates a long time ago, I consider you guys family. I'm gonna miss playing with you guys a whole lot and even though I'll be rooting for you, I'm gonna be a bit salty if you guys win worlds without me.

It's gonna take me a bit to get everything together after I move. I've lived in Pittsburgh my whole life and moving is really scary and expensive. Luckily my wonderful girlfriend is coming to Alpharetta with me, otherwise I would be totally lost. Hopefully once we get settled I can start to stream again.

This went way longer than I meant it to. Thank you everyone for the kind words and support, a huge thanks to the casting team who helped me immensely at the SCL summer finals, I can't wait to work with you guys more. See everyone in Alpharetta in two weeks!

P.S. I wrote this on mobile so if there are any typos you can deal with it.
