Today we say goodbye to NG Overwatch

Today marks the official parting of our NG Overwatch roster. Over the past few months, we have worked very closely with an incredibly talented group of guys, and they saw their fair share of success and failure as a unit. Many of our day one fans watched this team come out of what seemed like nowhere to take down Cloud9 at the OG Invitational, penciling their names in with some of the best in the world.

In the last month, the roster experienced expected growing pains while trying to assemble the best possible roster in a space where many of the best players were already locked to teams and contracts. Despite having some great results, the roster has had expected complications which led to the eventual departure of Chance and Wolf.

Unfortunately due to the rules set forth by eLeague's currently running competition, finding players to round out a roster has been next to impossible, and that stunted the team's ability to move forward and build chemistry with a solid roster.

It was mutually decided that this roster would be better suited attempting to rebuild using it's core (NapTime/Mangachu/BreadExpert) under another organization. So, from this point forward, the aforementioned players are no longer playing under Northern Gaming. In the next few days, we hope to help them relocate to another organization where they can continue to work on building a roster where we hope they will find great success.

Although this is not an ideal situation for anyone involved, as an organization we only want the best for our players; current and former. Having worked with these guys very closely over the past few months, I can say they have been a blast to work alongside, and we wish them nothing but the best in their journeys moving forward.

With all of this in mind,

We are not leaving Overwatch. We are going to take a step back and watch the scene as it continues to develop. We will be back, and stronger than ever; when the time is right.

Thank you for your constant support, we look forward to bringing you guys some great stuff in the coming weeks.
