@QuinnDelhoyo Twitlonger full of initial impressions and concerns for competitive play upon reading the Arena Fall Preview post...

Rig concerns:
Replacing Carbine with BR and BR with DMR shifts the balance of power even further in favor of inside. Reduces takeback tools for a team trapped outside against a Bunkered Sniper.

Shotgun is stronger than Scattershot, and this change looks to only be pushed for the sake of reducing available ammo to the team controlling the Scattershot -- however, Scatter's average shots to kill is probably >2, so it's effectively just removing the flair of bounce shots, which the Rig's geometry is great for.

Song of Peace's introduction seems like a tacit admission that the regular Suppressor and Boltshot are not strong enough to stand on its own. I'm okay with this change, but it just seems forced.

Riptide concerns:
Map geometry is heavily segmented, leading to a TON of stalemate situations in competitive play.

I think the Camo+Caster changes will help alleviate this, as long as the Camo is not in the direct sightline of players in Dunes/Beam Rifle spawn...but I don't think it'll be enough to actually generate games that reach 50 kills on a consistent basis.

Overgrowth concerns:
Previously, the corner that had vision of the halls leading to Tram and the opposite corner of the map (Plaza's cafe area) was a dead space. Nothing's really changing that here except the movement of the bottom mid stronghold to Truck, but that area doesn't cover or exert direct pressure on the stronghold.

I think a Sniper placed on the map would help do just that, allowing players to sit in that Hallway and get huge sightline power they couldn't previously have.

Regret concerns:
SCATTERSHOT? This map is snowbally as it is, even though the Scattershot's placement is being put into the "takeback flanker" position, if it's grabbed by the team who establishes control, it will drastically increase the swings already seen in the gametype.

I like the BR movement into the base, as this will help teams fight off spawn a little better.

Plaza concerns:
I don't understand why the Scattershot is being added to a map that already has a Shotgun in Strongholds.

I like the reduction of autos.

The Hydra was actually a great weapon for breaking set-ups when a player could flank out bottom middle... the Scattershot requires a player to get in too close to contest. This change might make it harder for teams to actually take back control once lost if they get spawned in Yard or the Tram area.

Coliseum concerns:
Sword will increase the amount of rocket-side, chaotic "sneaky" flag runs players try to pull off, reducing actual organized play on the map and making gameplay suffer.

Sword's existence may also accidentally enable Window->Window flag runs (Has this been tested?)
