All good things must come to an end...

It is with regret that today I announce the immediate closure of Barrage eSpots.

Since we first opened our doors in January 2014 we have always strived to build a brand that can provide up and coming European talent the platform they need to succeed. Sadly over the past six months or so we have been unable to provide this due to empty promises from investors & certain sponsors (but that's a story for another day) and as a result we have let down some of our recent rosters and players that have represented us, which is unacceptable and is something that has been very regrettable despite many factors being out of our control. With that being said we have decided that the time is right to move on.

eSports is growing at an incredible rate with more developer support, bigger prize pools and new and exciting companies making moves into the space. With this comes greater expectations from teams in terms of financial support and sadly our budget cannot sustain the level we were once at. eSports has moved on and we are slowly being left behind.

For myself Barrage started as a hobby, and over the past two and a half years I've had the pleasure of working with some wonderful teams and creating some fantastic memories in the process.

There's been some fantastic highs, attending ESWC is certainly up there, being represented at COD regionals in 2015 at the Royal Opera House in London and of course our LAN victories at Dreamhack & i55.

I would like to thank everyone who's ever represented Barrage in any capacity, especially the hard working staff we've had over the last couple of years. there's far too many to mention as i would be here all day, but I'm grateful to you all, it's you who have made Barrage what it is and I wish everyone all the success in the world moving forward.

I would also like to thank anyone who's ever supported us in any way, it's been a real pleasure growing Barrage and you've helped us every step of the way with your continued support.

So what's next for Barrage?

We've worked hard to create a good solid brand and it would be a shame for it to go to waste, so as of today the Barrage brand will be for sale, I have made the DMs open for anyone who's interested in taking the brand forward.

I would also like to make you all aware that our extremely talented SMITE team will be looking for a new home after the SCL Summer Split Finals and I wish them the best of luck as they continue to dominate in Europe & Hopefully the world.
