Spank
It may be a long running Edinburgh late but this was actually our first visit. Never fully understanding the Spank concept, we had always stayed away because, let's face it, with a name like Spank who knows what you're going to get.
It was time to face our fear as we headed off to the Belly Dancer within Underbelly and waited in line for what seemed to be an almost sold out show. Once in side it was obvious that the show was definitely a sell out with not a seat to be had and some even standing. We were greeted by two hosts who explain that it's a club night of comedy and cabaret with 3 hours of acts so there will be something for everyone. Our hosts did well to create an atmosphere, within the first minute they had the entire audience on their feet and shouting out the Spank catchphrase. In truth it was not the strongest lineup but a decent bill none the less; the headliner was a TV name and the Spank naked promo is something that has to be seen to be believed.
Overall a good night was had by all and it's no wonder this night is still selling out and still going strong.
