Nintendo possibily targeting pornographic fan art
As reported by Go Nintendo, it appears that Nintendo may have started crusading against sexual fan art using their IPs

This news was first brought to light by the Twitter user @nickmon1112, in an image which depicts various take downs on the website Tumblr.

Whilst companies wanted to protect their IPs is understandable, one could argue that fan art falls in line with the "Fair Use" clause in copyright law.

Also, of course, protecting copyright is in no way censorship by itself although it appears that Nintendo may going after sexual artwork specifically, and when this art may be protected by fair use, it could be seen as fitting in with censorship's definition of "the suppression of content due to being considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, politically incorrect or inconvenient".
If any new details come to light about these actions, we'll be sure to report them as soon as they are known.
