Queen + Adam Lambert succeed in the near impossible

NORJE. It is so easy to sneer at the unholy alliance. A former Idol "committers and one of the world's most iconic bands.
I join the doubters. But sometimes it's nice just to crawl to the cross.

It's like the absent protagonist's spirit hovers over the chilly festival area already a quarter before the concert. It flutters in tygridån. A suggestive sound carpet is emerging more and more, until both a voice and accurate "One Vision" opens the show.
This course also is Freddie Mercury's evening miss none.
But it quickly becomes too Adam Lambert. With one of the rock world's greatest challenges on their shoulders makes the former "Idol" probably his life's work. No, he's not Freddie Mercury. How would he or anyone else could? But the way he takes on the role, singing, gestures. How he goes into the theatrical spectacle with all the body's nerve fibers. Lambert found really energy in each verse, chorus and second.
There is much to trip over in the evening but it is in humility and the attitude to the whole task as frontman changes everything. Already in its first real small talk he strikes clever though it is obvious, there will always be only one Freddie Mercury. Instead, the evening will be a tribute to the singer and the songs. An occasion to celebrate the music and icon.
It is understood the moment that raises the already euphoric audience mood one step. Sing vibrates all the way to the festival's most remote wokvagnar.
The show is perfectly framed. Everything from the extravagant light show to how efficiently they use the monitors. Or when the footage of Freddie breaks in and sing the end of "Love of My Life" and slipping into the "Bohemian Rhapsody". Impressive and heartbreaking.
Adam Lambert's voice does not have the gravitas and depth that Mercury but he impresses here with. In moments, such as in "I Want It All" or "Radio Ga Ga", he is eerily close.
And to see the aged original duo Roger Taylor and Brian May to experience his life's work, as close to the glory days are probably going to come, is a beautiful show in itself. They look so genuinely happy. Especially May.
It's probably fair to call him happy.
