Parting Ways with Cloud9

I’ll try to keep this short, but Cloud9 and I have decided to mutually part ways. It’s been a dream of mine for almost 2 years to work for them and I’m forever grateful to have gotten the opportunity to work with the organization for the past month, however during our boot camp in Korea it became quite apparent that my skill set was not going to be required with the additions and changes they have made to their coaching staff. In my opinion, Cloud9 has one of the strongest coaching staffs that I have ever seen a North American team have and I have no doubt that they will be able to qualify for this seasons World Championship. I would once again like to say Thank you to Jack and the entire C9 Organization for their amazing treatment of me during my stay.

I have been fortunate over the past few years to spend the majority of my time working with Challenger players in both North America and Europe and have had the opportunity to work with some great players at the start of their careers. With my history in challenger and passion for advancing player development in the West, I’m excited to announce that I have accepted an offer with Vantage Sports and will be working with them on a new Player Dev. product. There will be more details in the following weeks, so stay tuned!

I wanted to conclude this quick statement by giving a quick thank you to the community. When it was first reported that I was joining Cloud9, I was extremely afraid of how people would react. However, I truly am grateful for the amount of support that I have received from everyone on social media. To those of you who have and continue to support me, thank you. Without you guys having my back through all of this, we wouldn’t have made it to this point. I truly owe all of this to you and I hope that I can continue to make you proud of me. This is not the end of my goal of being back in LCS. However, right now I need a break from the extreme grind. The chance to stay at home, consistently improve my health and develop players sounds more tempting to me than anything else.

One day, I will return to the LCS. When I do, I hope you’ll be there to support me. Thank you and see you in the Late Game.
