Quick post about NACS

Basically been wanting to make a long post on my thoughts about random things for a week now but decided to split into two parts, this ones about NACS TLDR: Am free agent, NACS OQ sucks

So my team(RF,Grigne, damonte,me,papa chau) just lost to C9 Challenger, was pretty stompy. They executed strats we don't see in our level of scrims so I think it was pretty unfortunate overall. We're all going to go our separate ways and I know a few NACS teams are going to pick up some of the players since they're all legitimately NACS level players. I myself will continue to play no matter what this is what I really want to do.

The obvious question: is it unfair that C9 can run 4 playoff players in OQ? Kind of. They had numerous advantages over us but in the end every loss is just a lesson for us players to give more effort for the next time. Nobody really wants to be benched and unable to play especially since outside of the LCS/NACS there's virtually no coverage and I can understand the feeling of wanting to play a real competitive match instead of soloq. I think I'd be very bad if they are allowed to "boost" a team to NACS and immediately move back up to the LCS but I don't believe that will happen this time around.

The setup for the qualifier is also hogwash, there was no way of telling if the best teams are represented in the two bracket system since the teams were fairly randomly placed around. Not to mention the side choices were also very random. The biggest shame though is the fact that riot gave no support this time around. With no stream or content it's really hard for the players to get recognized so us and many players who tried their best don't really get their stories told.

One last thing on NACS / OQ, for some reason the rules differ from LCS. One thing is you don't know who you're playing against until you get into champion select. Each team has to submit an "Active Roster" that they can change around every week and they literally just pick 5 out of 10 to show up on any given day.

Anyways enough salt from me shoutouts to everyone who helped us prepare for the match and everyone who supported us but some particularly fantastic people are : @zentinelq for being our awesome jg sub and playing a few games for us @lohpally for subbing a ton of scrims for us and being a fantastic support / shotcaller. Also all the management coaches and analysts that helped us both big and small @CoachDreamweavr @ImChaseLOL @Razleplasm @HermesTheTurtle @jon99867_ & more
