Oceania qualifier to be held for the PGL KeSPA Regional Minor Championship: Asia

Hello everyone,

In the past couple of days the everyone has been very vocal about the way the qualifiers for the Asia Minor were handled, especially towards the Oceanic teams. And the conclusion was that this needed to be addressed sooner rather than later.

To that end, we are going to host an Oceania qualifier next week, on April 19 - 21, with the winning team receiving a playoff slot to the Asia Minor in Seoul.

This will give teams in the region time to register and also participate freely in other ongoing, local tournaments this week.

To make the transition as smoothly as possible, teams from the region that previously registered in the Asia qualifier have been moved automatically to the new bracket, so they don't have to re-register.

We have also been in contact with Team Immunity and, although the situation is far from ideal due to their booked flights to Singapore, we worked together to find the best solution possible for them to properly compete in the Oceania qualifier.

Like its Asian counterpart, the Oceania qualifier will be hosted on the SoStronk platform using servers located in Australia and teams who wish to participate can register here:

There are 64 slots up for grabs.

Tomorrow we will update this announcement with the final Asia Minor playoff slot distribution.

We once again apologize for letting you, the community, down. You expected better from us and we are doing everything we can to fix our mistakes.
