My story on Jerry Jones CTE comments

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said it is “absurd” to describe a relationship between playing football and developing Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE).
The comments came as he was asked about remarks made last week to Congress by NFL senior Vice President of player safety Jeffrey Miller, who did say there is a link between CTE and playing football.
Jones would not say he disagreed with Miller, whose comments have roiled the league, which had preciously denied there is evidence to say there is a connection. And that is the position Jones took this afternoon in speaking to reporters after the second day of the NFL annual owners meeting ended.
“We don’t have that type of knowledge and background and scientifically there is no way to say that you have a relationship there,” Jones said of CTE and playing football. “There is no research, there is no data."
