Over the last few weeks there had been some friction between me and the Korean fans, starting with a picture that I took of them in a public space. That was my first mistake; it was not a broadcasting zone and I should have asked for permission before taking the picture.

When I posted it, I got requests to take it down and so I took down the original picture. But since I wanted to show western fans how awesome the fan meet was, I reposted it after putting stickers on the fans' faces. At the time, I thought it was a decent solution, since I have seen people do that before with their own selfies. However, it was not and for that I apologize. I have taken down the bunnies and hearts picture as well.

There was another incident where I replied to someone's tweet and said "beware of the internet trolls". I want the Korean fans to know that I am in no way belittling or insulting them by calling them trolls - I think everyone on the internet are trolls to be honest (me included). But I learned that I cannot treat my Korean fans in the way I do to my western ones and it was inappropriate and rude. So for that, I apologize. My intent is not to hurt anyone; Twitter is a place for me to joke around and to share pictures in a light manner.

I think the Korean fan culture is awesome - the dedication they have to the players, the gifts, the drawings, the true emotional cheers... it is filled with passion and love for the game and the players and I don't want that to change. It is very different from the west and I will show more respect for it.

I didn't realize that this issue so deeply affected the fans this much, so that's why I am publicly apologizing now - after some conversations I learned that my actions really DID hurt people and for that I am really really sorry.

I'll try to be more sensitive in the future and show that I respect the Korean fan culture by listening to their feedback more seriously.

To clarify a few other things: I had a few friends help me write my Korean apology post so that the spelling, word choice and grammar was correct. I am an American who has lived in the States for over 20 years - and I know that my Korean is not great.

The pgr/inven posts - the comments about culture difference was not written by me. Those are tweets from other people.

I know this apology won't be accept by those who are angry at me but I'm sorry for causing so much trouble and I won't do it again.
