Xbox Patch 731 - Server Connection Issues Update


Hey guys,

Just wanted to keep you update with what's going on. We're still looking into the issue and will work on resolving it as soon as possible, for now after talking to a lot of you some potential work-arounds have appeared. These may not work for everyone, however they do the trick for some.

Workaround one:

- Launch up ARK.
- Attempt to join online server
- When ARK is in the joining phase, hit your home key on your controller.
- Do not close ARK but go into your console settings on the left hand side menu.
- After that head into your network settings, hit go offline and after a few moments hit go online.
- Then head back into ARK and retry joining servers.

Workaround two:

- Launch ARK and select Join ARK
- Wait for Official servers to finish loading (604 in total) -
- Head into your favourites filter and remove your server from your favourites - remember the server number!
- Relaunch ARK and attempt to join your server
- If you get the same error / unknown error, attempt the work around above that involves going into your network settings.


Workaround three:

- Select Host/Local
- Select Host a Dedicated / Non-Dedicated Server
- Exit out of the settings Menu
- Exit out into the Main Menu
- Attempt to join an Online Server

Workaround four - would only use this as a final attempt due to some local-save data deletion:

- Heading into your game manager
- Delete your player save game data and reserved game space.

NOTE: This will delete single player saved data, non-dedicated saved data and player-dedicated saved data. This will also wipe the exploration done on your map as well as a clean-slate for all dossiers.

We'll still keep at it and hope to have it fixed asap. Please keep me posted on any success you do have with the above workarounds, or other ones - as well as the server you are currently playing and whether you had any connection issues previously to help see if we can narrow down the cause of the connection problems, it does not seem to be impacting all players, but the more information we have the quicker it'll be to resolve.
