Human Psychology
I do not deny what Bernie said was somewhat silly in regards to climate change being linked to terrorism, I took it for a jumbled talking point to appeal to his base.
I am simply saying you are missing the bigger picture. In human psychology there is a problem that we do not assess risk well. How many people has ISIS killed this year in your country? Less than 100? That wouldn't put them on the top 100000 things that are likely to kill you tomorrow. ISIS is bad, but they are not a direct threat to your well-being. Poverty, income inequality, political corruption, crony capitalism, the shrinking middle class and so on...all of these things are literally the day to day of your country and are impacting the well-being of millions of people. These issue cause harm to MILLIONS of people every single day and will continue to do so. EVERY SINGLE DAY. You are ignoring this harm because it is less obvious. It is not on TV screaming allah akbar and holding a gun. The greatest threat are those you can't even see until it is too late.
You have a chance to elect a person who might be THE LAST person truly elected by the people. A person with no ties to corporations or millionaires. A person funded by everyday Americans who want change. He would be your first non-millionaire president in like 100 years. The safety of your family is dependent on the future of your country and that is determine by more than simply foreign policy.
You are ignoring the real threats to family, because these threats are less explicit. This is your last chance to have a candidate with principles, who has fought for the working and middle class all of his life. You are throwing that away to elect a person, a person who embodies everything wrong with politicians, because she is who is more wiling to do what you want half a world away. You have the largest military in the world and have ties to every global power. which all gave an invested interest in your countries continued existence. ISIS is not a threat to that. ISIS, and other such Middle Eastern problems, are simply more "Real" because you can see them on the news. The biggest threats are not those you see, they are those that work in the shadows and throw scape goats at you.
