Press Release: SnK eSports Parts Ways With Rocket League Team
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
"SnK eSports Parts Ways With Rocket League Team"
Los Angeles, California - January 25, 2016 --- Since our expansion to Rocket League on October 26, 2015 and our announcement of acquiring professional Rocket League team, Apollo 11, consisting of Huskih (C), Azi, PrimeThunder, and Lars, we have placed consistently well in all ESL, MLG, RGN, and Rocket Royale tournaments. In addition to that, we were one of the longest lasting teams to consistently remain in the Top 10 of the NA Rocket League Power Rankings.
In late December of 2015, the team also managed to qualify for season one of the Rocket League Central (RLC) Pro League. The competition is held over a few weeks and features a guaranteed $2,000 prize pool. Although the success did not last for very long. The team constantly started losing to teams out of the Top 10, started placing poorly in tournaments, and their power ranking started dropping almost every week due to that.
During this time period of several weeks, a lot of inner-team issues were occurring, including a lack of communication between the players and the organization, a large decrease in practice time, and overall underperformance of the team. In addition, a roster change had occurred during this time; PrimeThunder was moved down to a substitute player and Flow was brought on as a starter. Although, the team never communicated this roster change with us prior and we actually never learned about this roster change until two weeks after it occurred. The team actually broke a lot of our code of conduct rules whilst playing under us (which were never brought up in the public) and actually refused for us to allow Flow to sign under our organization. We both (the organization and the players) agreed prior to today that we would be discontinuing relations around a month ago --- they were underperforming per our expectations, completely disrespecting our organization, disrupting our work environment, and we simply did not agree on many terms, which is not good for team growth and development, especially with us being one of the premier multi-gaming organizations in North America.
The team's contracts were set to expire today (January 25, 2016) and both our organization and the team (Huskih, Azi, Flow, PrimeThunder, and Lars) agreed to mutually part ways yesterday on good terms. We wish all of the players the best of luck with their future endeavors in Rocket League and beyond and if they decide to officially sign on board with the Team Orbit organization.
In conclusion, SnK eSports (Shoot N' Kill) will actively be looking to acquire and sign a new North American (NA) Rocket League team - preferably a Top 10 team that is willing to put the time and dedication in, but that does not mean that we won't consider teams outside of that range. We are encouraging all applicants to apply for this position. If you have a complete roster and are interested in representing our organization, please e-mail snkshootnkill@gmail.com with a team resume/application, or contact our NA Rocket League team manager, @Shalthis, directly on Twitter.
We would like to thank the entire Rocket League community for their support towards our organization and our former players, during the three months that we were heavily involved in the scene. We hope to return to the Rocket League scene soon, with a very talented line-up.
Until then, remember to stay red. #TheRedEra
