The History of Science and Contemporary Scientific Realism Conference

A three-day conference, 19th-21st February 2016
Location: Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI)

The conference brings together a balance of historians of science and philosophers of science, aiming for genuine interaction and cross-fertilisation of research between the disciplines.

The following is among the key historical questions to be asked:
To what extent did theoretical constituents that are now rejected lead to significant predictive or explanatory success?

Fileds addressed include astronomy, biology, chemistry, cosmology, fundamental physics, genetics, geology, and medicine,
