Bill Belichick shares insight on rookie CB Justin Coleman

Bill Belichick shared interesting insight on rookie CB Justin Coleman, who is currently No. 3 on the team's depth chart, in his Friday morning news conference. The first thing he said that stood out was how Coleman was a challenging evaluation in the draft (he ultimately signed as an undrafted free-agent with the Vikings). "I'd say he just doesn't look quite like the player he was at Tennessee, so I think there were some issues that probably he was dealing with at Tennessee that aren't there now probably, physically," Belichick said, comparing it to CB Malcolm Butler from 2014 while also noting he didn't play much in the preseason in Minnesota (so there wasn't a lot of tape on him to study). And Belichick added that when Coleman was injured earlier this season (hand, then concussion), "It was a little bit of a strain to carry him to be honest with you, but in the end, we felt like this was a guy that we needed and we liked the way he played when he played."
