One more from Schwartz, asked if he had hoped to be Eagles HC candidate:
"I’ve been 23 years in the NFL and I started at the very bottom. I’ve done all that stuff. I think I was the only person in the history of the NFL to take an 0-16 team to the playoffs. The only thing I haven’t done is hold the Super Bowl trophy. That consumes me. I would want nothing more than to see Mr. Lurie hold that trophy. To see that trophy in the front of a parade in the city of Philadelphia.
"I grew up in Baltimore, 90 miles from here. I have dozens of college friends from Georgetown that live and die with the Philadelphia Eagles. I know how much it would mean to them. And that would give me the most satisfaction … When you get to a certain point in your career, you can let things come to you, rather than have to chase. I’d like to think that I was in that position.”
