AOA Chanmi has revealed the reason why she had wanted to become an artist/idol on MBC's <Great Inheritance> which was aired on the 26th.
Chanmi arrived at the salon operated by her mother in her hometown and has helped with tending to the customers and has even gave a customer a haircut. The two of them then had a drink after a hard day's work.

Chanmi: I took on the challenge to be an artist/idol as I felt that if I became an idol, perhaps will I be able to obtain the money that I had wanted to earn and the environment* that I had wanted/imagined quicker? I thought that if I hit it big upon my debut, this is a profession that will allow me to make big bucks easily. However, what I didn't know is that I can't do this (being an idol) for life."

Mother: 'It would be wonderful if only she had the thinking of any other 20 year old child. I'm really sorry that she had to mature so fast/early.
