Some initial Youtube Red observations now we have limited stats, based on what I've seen on my channel. 1) Since Youtube Red going live, I have seen an increase of about 7% in monetised playbacks. This can mean a number of things, potentially it can mean that less people are using adblock, possibly due to awareness raised by Youtube Red, but it can also just be a coincidence and an increase in fillrate in general, hard to tell with the stats I have so far. 2) I am absolutely earning more from Youtube Red than I would have from those people watching ads. 3) My earnings strongly correlate with the daily watch time of my channel. 4) The videos that appear to be earning the most Youtube Red income are the podcasts, which are the longest videos I do. 5) The stats are really limited so we can't really come to any solid conclusions until a couple of months down the line.
