To be the first domestic Chinese analyst on the world stage, analyzing the games for everyone, cheering for the Chinese teams, is something to be proud of. Before I went on the stage someone told me to let the whole world know how strong the Chinese teams are. Of course, I was also confident in the Chinese teams. The past two years the Chinese teams got better and better results, I felt like there’s a good chance to take a world championship. Not only is this the wish of all Chinese players, it is also my own personal disappoint that I wasn’t able to achieve in the past.
My original intent was to prove to the world that iG came prepared. Kalista and Kennen combo is something many teams are using, I wanted to others to know the Chinese teams will be even stronger. iG is a very good team, and has the strength to beat their opponents. I even fantasized about two Chinese teams meeting in the finals, but the result was not what I had hoped for.
It has been three days, and every day I’ve been looking at the replies and comments on Weibo. “Esports Wang Jingwei” [1], “national traitor,” phrases like that kept slapping me across my face. I don’t wish to and I didn’t want to hurt anyone, any player, or any team. I am Chinese, and I was a Chinese pro player. I won’t go as far as to say I understand better than every single viewer the thirst for passion as an esports professional, as a pro player, but I possess the same expectations as all of you in terms of wishing for my country to see victory on the world stage. So the label of “national traitor” caused me unspeakable grief. But since I made a mistake, I have to pay for it. I still want to thank everyone who criticized and helped me.
As a first time analyst, I lacked experience, and accidentally created this huge drama. I don’t know how to compensate for this. I considered running away, but I decided to face it in the end. I want to continue being a part of everything esports and share the experience with everyone, support Chinese esports, and cheer for Chinese teams. I will never be this reckless again, and I will work hard to readjust myself.

I apologize to every Chinese player who was hurt, and thank you to everyone who understands or supports me, and thank you to everyone who pointed out the errors of my ways. And I hope iG and every other LPL team can continue doing well. Chinese esports should be glorious.
