Reason why Oliviera, Navarro, Kornfeil & Masbou all hit with 3 grid place pen
On 10th October 2015 during the Moto3 FP3 session of the Motul Grand Prix of Japan, rider #44 Miguel Oliveira was found to be riding slowly in 3 sectors in excess of the 110% limit of his fastest sectors.
This contravenes the instructions given at the riders briefing of 8th October 2015 and is considered to be irresponsible riding causing danger to other competitors, and is therefore an infringement of Article 1.21.2 of the FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix Regulations.
For the above motive, Race Direction has decided to impose on rider #44 Miguel Oliveira a grid penalty of 3 places for the 2015 Motul Grand Prix of Japan, according to Article 3.2.1 of the FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix Disciplinary and Arbitration Code.
No appeal has been lodged, the decision of Race Direction is final.
