The Department of Philosophy at Michigan State University invites applications for a tenure-system, academic year appointment at the rank of assistant professor, beginning August 16, 2016. AOS: Philosophy of Science. AOC: Open. PhD in Philosophy or closely allied field (e.g., History and Philosophy of Science) prior to appointment. Four courses per year at undergraduate and graduate level, thesis supervision, usual nonteaching duties. The successful candidate will have a robust research program showing potential to secure external funding. We are particularly interested in candidates committed to teaching a diverse student body.
