Tonight will be the last stream for FTL, I wanted to write something a bit longer than a two part tweet to explain the awesome relationship I have had with this game and what it has meant for me and the content.
First, let me say that FTL is a masterpiece of a game. It hits the mark for true balance and replay-ability with a legendary soundtrack. It is hands down one of the best games I have ever played, I will say the best game I have ever streamed. It has provided me and the channel with over 1300 hours of stream content, that is over 200 days of streams!
FTL was also one of the first successful games for my channel, it helped me get away from being stuck only streaming 1 game at a time where I wasn't sure if that was possible.
FTL means a lot more to me than that though. I really struggled with depression during the 2 year livestream challenge and had many months where it was hard for me to even get out of bed. FTL was always a source of enjoyment, no matter how bad I felt I always enjoyed playing. It was a huge constant in moments where I felt uncertain and insecure, it's the only game I can say that about.
So thanks everyone that has taken the journey with me on FTL. I still love the game but 1300 hours later it is time to hang it up. We have completed countless runs and 1, almost 2 no pause challenges on all ships. In addition, huge thanks to the devs Justin Ma and Matthew Davis for such a beautiful and well balance game that helped me not only in my career but my life. It may seem silly to some to say all this about a game, but it's just that damn good and it had a real impact on me.
