Jolly Boat: Nerdplay
A very popular show. It's standing room only as we get in over 10 mins late. Not a great start.
The show kicks off and from the start we have technical difficulties; it's not exactly a shambles but there are enough to make it frustrating.
Luckily it's worth the wait! The boys open with some pirate songs, a take on modern pop and classics. This is very much a musical comedy but what separates it from others is the writing - it's so much better than most shows in the big 4 venues.
They cover popular topics from TV shows to computer games, Game of Thrones to Star Wars, Zelda to Streets of Rage.
Not just one for the geeks though, this show has something for everyone. The queue proves it.
Already a great show, if they were to tighten everything up, they'd have themselves a real winner.
Totally natural performers with amazing stage presence and some great writing.
