Bruce Fummey: A History of Scotland
Fummey is a well established comedian on the Scottish circuit; last years comedian of the year has you laughing from the off. With loads of big laughs and the odd groaner, it's a great start and you begin to think that this could be something quite special.
The problem is that Fummey's big laughs don't last. With so much history crammed into such little time, it soon becomes more of a lecture than a comedy show. No doubt that it's still enjoyable, but we need less information and more humour. Fummey needs production and this attempt at a structured show is applaudable, but with help it could be so much better.
