Hey guys.

As I'm sure most of you know, we lost our relegation matches yesterday vs. Upcoming Starz and more importantly lost our shot at making SPL this year.

Unfortunately for us our jungler, 'thePikachu', had a power outage just as we were about to load into game 1 and ended up having to pack his equipment and run to his friends house in order to play with us. However, he did not make it back in time and we had no choice but to forfeit match 1.

Now, as I'm sure you're all wondering, "Why the fuck didn't they use one of their subs?", well there's a reason for that. When I filled in the check-in form for relegations, I did it as I always do every time we're set to play a tourney, with our 5 starter players, and 2 subs 'Duck3y' and 'GrandmasterOwl'. We couldn't use a sub because 'GrandmasterOwl' had a work shift that ended an hour after the relegations began and that our ADC 'Zigox' had to go on vacation with his parents. I wasn't aware of either of these unfortunate events until after I had checked us in as I always do and this left us with no choice other than to play with the 4 starter players plus 'Duck3y'.

It was just so damn unfortunate that Pikas power cut out in the whole block, literally right as we were loading into the game. I would like to point out that by no means were we not taking this tournament seriously as some of you may think. This tournament meant so much to my teammates and I, and it was just a chain of extremely shitty events that lead us to the forfeit of match 1. I suppose I have myself to blame for not signing up 2 more people as subs just in case something like this happens, but as they say, hindsight is 20-20.

I don't want to say that the forfeit was the cause of the overall loss, but it certainly played a part in it. We were practicing 5-6 days a week for several months preparing for this day, piling up hours of discussions of tactics, developing drafts and building synergy. This loss of game 1 hit us harder than it should have, and I'm not one to normally tilt, but I could feel the atmosphere in the TeamSpeak when the ruling was made.

Anyways, what's done is done, and I don't want to take anything away from Starz, as they played really well yesterday and props to them for that.

To finish this post off, as you're all probably guessing, we have decided to disband the team. Most of my teammates have school starting up again this year, and it's very difficult to stay motivated and dedicate time to a cause that might or might not work out in our favor after another year of practice.

I love all of my teammates, and consider them family. I had an incredible journey practicing and improving alongside them and hope that everything goes well for them in the future.

I intend to continue playing Smite and will be looking into streaming again after my college exams end in September, and maybe even try practicing a new role. Not sure yet, but we'll see.

Looking back over the past 3 years, I can see how much closer I am getting to making it to the SPL. Ever since the 'Heroes And Zeroes' days where we got stomped in the Challengers Cup, to this year being the champions of it. Maybe next year will be my year to shine in the SPL.

Until then, I wanna thank you guys for all the support and for reading this biography (sorry for writing so fucking much).

Darzer.
