I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for being supportive. This community speaks up and shows support when needed and I couldn't be more proud of my 2nd family. It takes a lot of guts to speak publicly in front of people and I want to take everyone who took the time and made the effort to speak up on our behalf. I would also like to thank those of you who made the journey just to show support and help fill up the room. Having the auditorium full of FGC members was awesome and I'm sure it made a huge impact. Then last but not least, I want to thank all of you who couldn't be here, but still made the effort and had interest enough to watch the hearing online. Thank you everyone.
A lot of stuff is still up in the air at the moment, and I just wanted to make one thing clear. We will be filing for an appeal, there will be a fee of $2700+, and there is a 20 day waiting period that comes along with this. The next hearing will not be with this same panel that rejected us twice, so we do have a shot and this time we will be dealing with actual employees of the city on the new panel. I can only pray that they are more susceptible to the idea that we are bringing in business for the city and put down this petty grudge they hold with the landlord.
Going to take a few minutes to just breath and unwind from this stress. Hope you all enjoy your EVO weekend and I will be posting more updates after my next meeting on 7/23 with the city's economic and development director. Stay tuned!
