What happened with Seogoong, anyways

Just a reminder that this is mostly speculation written by a longtime fan of Topp Dogg

Last year, Topp Dogg member Seogoong, vocal and member of their Lion Unit, was announced a hiatus from the group due to a leg injury

When the Amadeus Deluxe Edition albums started to come out, he left a fansign early and since then his attendance at Topp Dogg events was sporadic, I think he only came to 1 or 2 concerts. He did not attend Topp Dogg's first concert First Turn Up, nor their concert in Japan the next year, or their showcases in America. He did not participate in Annie promotions, although having been in their concept photos and the song itself, and music video

Sometime after the American showcases I believe, he was announced that he is no longer a Topp Dogg member, but has been rotated into Topp Dogg's non-promoting subunit, Under Dogg

Now Topp Dogg fans all now that Under Dogg really has not done anything since they were announceed. Topp Dogg fans are not even really sure who is in Under Dogg. We don't know what the deal is with them at all, or if they will ever truly debut and put out music

Why did this happen to Seogoong? It is the first time anything like this has ever happened

Here is where my speculation starts: I don't think he truly wanted to be in Topp Dogg

Topp Dogg wasn't supposed to be such a large group in the first place, but it had been so long since Stardom debuted a boy group that they had all these trainees raring to debut not knowing when the next chance to debut would be

And so Topp Dogg, a 13-member boy group was born

Seogoong didn't want to be part of this, he was likely uncertain that his vocal colors wouldn't get to shine through with 12 other members battling it out for parts. Would he even get recognition, in a group like this?

Member Sangdo revealed in an interview that he is in fact close with Seogoong and he had convinced Seogoong to be in Topp Dogg so they could debut together, even though he didn't want to

So Seogoong decided to escape the sinking ship of Topp Dogg once he had enough or felt like he reached as much recognition as he'd earn as a member of Topp Dogg, I don't know

The way Topp Dogg was put together was cruel in the first place, Stardom, really
