To my readers:

Since today is my last official day with FOX Sports Wisconsin, I wanted to thank everyone for reading, following and interacting with me over the past three years. FOX Sports recently decided to lay off all of its regional writers throughout the country.

I would also like to thank the PR staffs of the three teams I covered for all the help along the way and the other Milwaukee media members who have made my job so much fun

I tried to cover the Brewers, Bucks and Marquette basketball the best I could. Balancing three important beats at the same time was not easy, but the challenge helped me grow as a writer and reporter.

As a native of the Milwaukee area, it was my dream come true for me to cover the two city's professional teams and its major college basketball team. In three years, I covered 8 different head coaches/managers.

I watched the Bucks go from trying to make Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings work together to a 15-win season. Then new ownership took over and Jason Kidd came to town as head coach. With a young nucleus of Giannis, Jabari Parker and MCW, the franchise serious momentum moving forward. Bad starts cost the Brewers in two of my three years on the beat. But last year the Crew spent 150 days in first place before collapsing late to miss the playoffs. Marquette won the Big East and made a run to the Elite Eight in my first year on the beat. I will never forget the late comeback MU pulled off to survive Davidson in the first round of the tournament. Buzz Williams left after the following year and Steve Wojciechowski took over. Despite the struggles of the past two years, the MU program is in capable hands.

Since many have asked, I don't know what is next. I would love to stay in Milwaukee/Wisconsin, but that may be tough to do to limited opportunities.

Thanks to everyone for their support!

Andrew
