[TRANS] (ARTICLE) Jang Yoonjung to Wendy, "In 15 years, she could take my place"

Rookie girl group Red Velvet's recent participation in JTBC's filming of '100 people, 100 songs - Go Till The End' attracted attention.

On the day of filming, the members from Red Velvet that filmed/participated were Wendy and Seulgi. Seulgi previously gained attention during her trainee period on 'Golden Fishery - Radio Star' where she was praised by Kyuhyun. Because of this, 'Kyuhyun's girl' became a hot topic. As expected, in charge of main vocals within the team, Wendy's pre-debut cover video of BigBang's 'Fantastic Baby' which was uploaded online had about 300,000 views. Although she doesn't have much broadcast experience apart from music shows, curiosity grows as to what kind of other activities she will do/show.

For the preliminaries, Wendy went up on stage together with member Seulgi, and at the MCs request for a personal skill, without hesitation she (wendy) surprised everyone with her impression of Gag woman Lee Gukjoo's voice. The people around said that it rather sounded similar to Jang Yoonjung, and after hearing that, feigned ignorance but immediately did an impromptu/on the spot impersonation of Jang Yoonjung, and with it, showed off her variety skills. Also, throughout filming, she copied Jang Yoonnjung's movements and showed promising variety wit. After seeing this side of Wendy, Jang Yoonjung revealed her expectations and said, "In 15 years, I think she will be able to be in this position".

On the other hand, Seulgi who also made an appearance on the show, impersonated pikachu, and after said, "Wont this be edited out?" which brought laughter.

With this, Wendy grabbed a-hold of the mic first. Even with her young age, she enjoys old songs and got attention for searching for a 90's song sang by a woman. The song Wendy chose was, Park Mikyung's "Distant Memories of You" and although Wendy was only 5 years old when the song was released in 1996, she showed off her outstanding vocal ability and sang with confidence, which received an applause.
