Adam Lambert is back! On the 12th of June his third album „The original High“ is released in Germany! Already the first single "Ghost Town" points – there something is anew with Mr. Lambert. What exactly, he has betrayed us during the interview.
What has happened in the last time with you?
Since the last time when you have heard what of me in Germany I have experienced an amount! I was with queen on tour. Has joined in in 5 results for Glee. Yes, and then I have started to work on my new album. And here I am! It is finally ready and, finally, it is published!
What is the secret behind the album title „The original High“?
It can mean different things for different people. We have everybody something and we feel great. Where we feel the life. The album describes the way and the search for this feeling in certain manner.
What expects us on the new album?
It is a mix from many different things. It represents the music which I hear with pleasure. During the last years I have started to hear Contemporary Music. And thus also sounds my album. A little bit I also travel back in the 90th.
Your music style has changed. Why?
Your Hairstyling also changes within six years. Thus it is also with your music taste. As an artist your art develops. I wanted an album, all that reflects. My past up to my future.
And what is the message of the new single "Ghost Town"?
I believe everybody has felt already once a little bit lost. Above all, after to one the heart was broken. You feel lost, but then the beat walks in and then the flute and this the medicine, which you from this feeling is again rauszieht. I can be your medicine!
At the festival time many are on the move now in tents. And Adam knows there quite a special form:
I love "Glamping". This is simply a glamor camping. High-Fashion.
So also with Makeup?
No, I may not of this Makeup stuff at all. I mine cover clearly, sometimes the rings under the eyes of the strenuous tour days, but, otherwise, nothing. This is not any more my thing.
And the most important question in the end: You are a single, or?
Yes, I am damn a single. But also not on the search. I have learnt that I can be found better.

Adam Lambert ist zurück! Am 12. Juni erscheint sein drittes Album „The Original High“ bei uns in Deutschland! Schon die erste Single „Ghost Town“ zeigt – da ist einiges neu bei Herrn Lambert. Was genau, hat er uns im Interview verraten.
Was ist in der letzten Zeit bei dir passiert?
Seit dem letzten Mal, als ihr in Deutschland was von mir gehört habt, habe ich eine Menge erlebt! Ich war mit Queen auf Tour. Habe in 5 Folgen bei Glee mitgespielt. Ja, und dann habe ich angefangen an meinem neuen Album zu arbeiten. Und hier bin ich! Es ist endlich fertig und endlich wird es veröffentlicht!
Was ist das Geheimnis hinter dem Albumtitel „The Original High“?
Es kann verschiedene Sachen für verschiedene Leute bedeuten. Wir haben ja alle etwas, wobei wir uns super fühlen. Wo wir das Leben spüren. Das Album beschreibt in gewisser Weise den Weg und die Suche nach diesem Gefühl.
Was erwartet uns also auf dem neuen Album?
Es ist ein Mix aus vielen verschiedenen Dingen. Es repräsentiert die Musik, die ich gerne höre. In den letzten Jahren habe ich angefangen Contemporary Music zu hören. Und so klingt auch mein Album. Ein bisschen reise ich auch zurück in die 90er.
Dein Musikstil hat sich also geändert. Wieso?
Dein Hairstyling verändert sich ja innerhalb von sechs Jahren auch. So ist es auch mit deinem Musikgeschmack. Als Künstler entwickelt sich ja deine Kunst weiter. Ich wollte ein Album, das alles widerspiegelt. Meine Vergangenheit bis hin zu meiner Zukunft.
Und was ist die Message von der neuen Single „Ghost Town“?
Ich glaube jeder hat sich schon einmal etwas verloren gefühlt. Vor allem, nachdem einem das Herz gebrochen wurde. Du fühlst dich verloren, aber dann kommt der Beat rein und dann die Flöte und das ist die Medizin, die dich aus diesem Gefühl wieder rauszieht. Ich kann eure Medizin sein!
Zur Festivalzeit sind ja jetzt viele in Zelten unterwegs. Und Adam kennt da eine ganz besondere Form:
Ich liebe „Glamping“. Das ist einfach Glamour-Camping. High-Fashion.
Also auch mit Makeup?
Nein, ich mag dieses Makeup-Zeugs gar nicht mehr. Ich meine klar, mal die Augenringe von den anstrengenden Tourtagen verdecken, aber sonst nichts. Das ist nicht mehr mein Ding.
Und die wichtigste Frage zum Schluss: Du bist Single, oder?
Ja, ich bin verdammt Single. Aber auch nicht auf der Suche. Ich habe gelernt, dass ich mich besser finden lasse.
