You may not know it, but I am also a Journalist. #gamergate

Many of you know me as a comedian, video producer, and a geek.

You might not be aware of my day to day profession.

I am a Journalist.

It is a progression that I have held for over 9 years, and it is profession that I have the upmost respect for.

Durring my time, I have encountered many battles when it came to ethics, moral codes, and even personal stances on particular subject manners. During those battles, I have chosen to follow a journalists ethics policy, only wrote about the facts and truths, and kept my personal life and opinions, out.

Over the past few months; I have been witness to a series of failures in the fifth estate, "Journalists" pushing agendas, hyped up unnecessary controversy, and misdirected people with the dexterity of a max-leveled rouge.

Yes, I am aware that this is happening in mainstream, first-party media; but I am specifically video game journalism. The controversy and grassroots movement associated with it?

#Gamergate

For awhile now I have kept myself out of the fight over a many number of fears, but now I have grown away from those fears.

On my personal blog, I have already written a few things about Gamergate, and am currently planing and penning more about it.

I am aware that this may lead to people who don't know me and actually know me to judge me. Their opinion, may even change of me, but what I am doing now, is not because I am a pro-gamergater. I am doing this both as a Journalist, and exercising my due-diligance to my loyalty and belief of the fifth estate.

This is not me being a comedian, geek, or web-sitcom writer.

This is me, as a Journalist.

Consider this my hat, officially, thrown into the ring.
