"Pathways2Wellbeing" is a spin-out company from the University of Hertfordshire:

The company website is here:

http://www.pathways2wellbeing.com/

The company provides treatment groups embedded within the NHS and the community for people with "persistent undiagnosed symptoms."

CFS, ME, IBS, Fibromyalgia and a list of "medically unexplained, persistent, physical symptoms" are included within the target group.

"These patients have no specific pathway for supporting their wellbeing and are high health utilizers at the interface of primary and community care. They suffer with chronic, physical symptoms or conditions which do not appear to have an organic, medical diagnosis, previously known as psychosomatic conditions."

The service is referred to as the "Symptoms Group" to patients and as "The MUS Clinic" to health professionals.

Access is via GP referral or Self-referral.

The groups use The BodyMind Approach (TBMA)®, based on "a bio-psychosocial model derived from dance movement psychotherapy."

Participants attend sessions that last for 2 hours, with 12 sessions taking place over 8 weeks.

"‘Pathways2Wellbeing is the vehicle for the service delivery within the NHS." The Department of Health (DH) initiative ‘Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention’ (QIPP) scheme funded the service in a competitive bid from the then Hertfordshire Primary Care Trust.
