Rafael Nadal quoted by @VinceMartucci in today's Gazzetta dello Sport:

"Tennis is a sport about winning. Who remembers the losses? In fact, let's talk about my successes in Paris, 8 wins out of 9, but not about my loss to Söderling. Let's talk about the 8 of 10 times I've won in the last years in Monte Carlo, but not about the first time I played here and lost to Coria, or the two latest years where I lost to Djokovic and Ferrer. Lets talk about the 7 out of 10 in Rome, not when I lost suddenly to Ferrero. When I lose of course I'm not happy, but I'm not crushed. Just as I'm not crazily ecstatic when I win so much. I try and distance my self from wins and losses. I'm so pleased and happy with everything that's happened that if I lose, I don't stop being happy with my life.

Ten years is a long time for anyone. I remember well my first title here. It's not the weight of the time that's past that's made problems for me, but the things that have happened. So many things, both good and bad. One thing I have to say without trying to sound conceited: my results on clay have been exceptional. If I went back in time and tried to do it again, I don't think I could. Let's remember the 81 wins in a row I had on the red."
