Team 8 Disbands
It is with a heavy heart that we announce to the LoL community that Team 8 will be disbanding, effective immediately starting April 1st, 2015. While this decision was not easy for our organization, it was collectively decided that it would be the best action as the players move forward in their respective careers. While some in the community may call this decision rash, it was unanimous amongst our players/management, and we would like to briefly overview the primary reasons behind it so that you may better understand our reasoning...
We want to be 1st place, and if we only make 7th then there’s no point in playing.
We have a small fan base, and people don’t chant our name like they do TSM.
It’s really annoying when people keep mixing up Maplestreet and TheOddOne.
All our wins are random.
Porpoise gets too many ladies.
Our internet sucks and we can’t practice properly.
When Slooshi streams he only gets 30 viewers.
Cali didn’t get to play Cho Gath, and instead the Europeans played it.
Aphromoo is a cheater, and Lustboy is a troll.
Maple has decided to pursue his dream of being a fighter pilot.
We are sorry to all the fans and sponsors who believed in us, but this is f8. We hope that our players can shine in other teams, and we’re happy to say that several of the players have already received offers from Rich Gang and TSM Darkness. It was a great run, and thank you all so much for your support while it lasted.
