Reply from Audit Scotland Reference Celtic PLC

In response to their current investigation into Celtic PLC Service Level Agreement at Lennoxtown https://footballtaxhavens.wordpress.com/2014/12/17/audit-scotland-investigating-corruption-involving-the-celtic-sla-at-the-lennoxtown-initiative/

Dear Mr Stevens,

Lennoxtown correspondence

Thank you for your email enquiring about the above.

I appreciate that we may not have been able to conclude on this matter as quickly as you would have liked. However, I can assure you that we are continuing to assess and follow up on the information available to us.

Audit Scotland receives correspondence on a daily basis covering a wide range of concerns. In each case we consider the issues raised to ensure that we understand the correspondent’s concerns and any implications they may have for our work. It is important for everyone concerned that we do this from an independent and objective stand point. Where cases are complex (such as those involving a number of different correspondents, organisations or transactions, or those covering an extended period of time) it inevitably takes longer to gather together the information we need to consider the details of each concern in full.

Once we have reached a conclusion in relation to this matter I will let you know. However, given the complexities of this specific case I am not able to give you a definitive date by which I will be able to do so.

Kind regards,

Correspondence Team
