Going from Hoggy110 to Hapmatic

This evening, I decided to finalise my decision to change my online nickname. This was an idea I thought up a few weeks back, and I did some changes in online usernames back at the beginning of the week, and I've now decided to make my new nickname permanent

I will now be known as Hapmatic instead of Hoggy110

It feels like an end of an era. I've used Hoggy110 since all the way back in 2007, and due to my lack of skills in thinking up new usernames, I've used that name for practically everything I did since then. I've met many people and made some great friendships through that username, and I feel I did some (biased opinion) good writing stuff regarding iOS stuff through it

But now its gone, and replaced. I've gone and changed usernames/going to change usernames on some sites I use like Twitter, Reddit and Blogger, but I'm going to keep the Hoggy110 usernames on the majority of them , like with Touch Arcade, NeoGaf and The Chatroom. The reasons those names won't be changing will be because either
A) I really wasn't using them anymore, and I'll pretty much stop using them now
B) I wasn't making any sort of contribution all together to the site, so changing my name would have no effect in comparison to keeping it

Why am I doing this? Well, I've used Hoggy110 since 2007. It's used on a whole bunch of sites which I've abandoned now, where I've said a whole bunch of stuff which I don't necessarily agree with now, and it's to give myself sort of a fresh start. To allow new people who meet me to get more of a accurate first impression of who I really am. It makes me a bit happier as well, not having some of those monkeys on my back. I don't know.

But yeah, I'm Hapmatic now, not Hoggy110. I'm still the same person behind the screen, I'm just using a different name. I'll still post the same cynicism on my Twitter, I'll still write the same stuff on Game and Touch, I'll still have the same gaming abilities. I'll just be called something else

PS: Regarding The Chatroom. I'm not coming back there to do reviews or whatever, because I'm doing Game and Touch now. It's a simple reason really: I like my blog. It may not get the same views as The Chatroom, and it'll have a lesser stream of content coming from it than The Chatroom did due to how distracted I can get plus schoolwork. It does one highly important thing though, in terms of being really comfortable to do. I can do whatever I want with it, and I like that freedom. Being a solo thing as well, I've got no one to argue with against decisions regarding it. It can also be a place where I can let my feelings of gaming reviews and how they should be done in regards to bias and all that be showcased. It's nice, and I really want to see how far it can go.
