Gunman: "I think this is quite... great... cool." Reporter: "I am as nervous as you are. But at home I have... I pretty much would like to go home. I won't be standing in your way". Gunman: "I understand." Reporter: "... while risking...yes?" Gunman: "Yes". Reporter: "I am happy you also want me to go home tonight. We have to make sure that you... well, you are doing this for a reason." Gunman: "Of course. Yes. I hope... would you please sit down overthere, when I have to start with my speech? I promise nothing will happen to you, but... when I sit here all by myself... they [police] likely are already outside the building, maybe they will say... well the things that are going to be said are about big world issues. Yes. We are hired by intelligence agencies and we discovered things questioning society as we know it, and we are about to expose them. That's why I said... we are not that bad. Because we do this for the ordinary citizens. But therefore it is possible that high-ranking people will say to whoever is standing outside this studio: kill him, because nobody should know this information. And when I'm sitting here all by myself, then there's a big chance they come rushing in and shoot me in seven parts." Reporter: "Yes. I suppose the director... but I hope you will let me, even if I'm sitting overthere..." Gunman: "I promise... we can shake hands..." Reporter: "I don't want you to take me with you." Gunman: "No no, of course not. But I want... I would like... you to stay here, so that there's not much chance they will take such action." Reporter: "Oh, you mean it like that". Gunman: "Yes. For the rest, once I've finished my speech, I will let you go." Reporter: "Ok, but when you've finished your speech, then I suppose you go outside with me..." Gunman: "No, I let you go first. I likely will let the police take me." Reporter: "Yes, ok but..." Gunman: "I will let you leave. You will be allowed to go outside. But, this is taking me too long." Reporter (to director/producer): "Can you hear me?" Reporter to gunman: "You do have a live connection. Your microphone is on." Gunman: "Yes, but isn't there a connection... this is taking too long." Reporter: "We both heard that your microphone is working." Gunman: "Yes. I know it's working. But I need to know that we are live on tv. And I've received no message of... (apparently someone he's in contact with). Reporter: "But well, you can only hear them, and they can't hear you?" Gunman: "Yes". Reporter: "You understand... you are standing here right now, with a microphone and a camera, the footage you see is the footage that's broadcast." Gunman: "Yes, but how do I know this is actually on tv?" Reporter: "Yes, exactly, that's what you have to hear from the other person. The can..." Gunman: "A moment ago I heard something like 'the microphone is working'? Oh, there's the police already. Oh, they are going to..." Reporter: "I wholeheartedly hope... can I go outside?" Gunman: "In a while, after I've finished my speech". (gestures at approaching police) Gunman: "What are you going to do?" Police: "Police, drop the weapon!" (Gunman drops the weapon). Police "Drop it! Drop it!" Gunman: "I did drop it!" Gunman lying down on the ground.
