The show goes on 25 years after Freddie Mercury's death.

It's been nearly a quarter of century since Freddie Mercury passed away, but the songs of his mythical group, Queen, are still very much alive, with a new European tour which stopped in Paris on Monday night for more than 2h of an electric show.

From the heady bass line of "Another Bites the Dust" to the heavy rhythm of "We Will Rock You", through the overexcited guitars of "I Want It All" or "The Show Must Go On", the Zenith honored the classics of the group, mixing hard rock, pop and flight of lyricism.

Freddie Mercury, who died in 1991 at the age of 45, is from now on replaced by the eccentric and astounding Adam Lambert, a 32 years old American, winner (*sigh*) of American Idol.

From the hobnailed leather jacket to the leopard costume or the red plaid pants, the singer with the perfect quiff and suggestive hips' sways knows how to sing high, very high.

Between two songs, he doesn't forget to pay tribute to Freddie Mercury, whose voice joins the band for "Love of My Life" then on "Bohemian Rhapsody" on the video screen at the back of the stage.

The 67 years old guitarist Brian May, and his now grey long hair, and the drummer Roger Taylor, 65 and a white beard, the last two original members on board, have a ball playing.

Brian May shows that he hasn't lost his skills, giving long solos, and the drummer sings with a dazzling voice "A Kind of Magic" and his family's sense is present, leaving the drums to his son several times during the show.

The varied band, between old sea dogs, youngster on the mic and back-up band in the shadow, Queen succeed in charming everyone, thanks to songs that make everyone see eye to eye, like "We Are the Champions", final song sung by the thousands of people in the audience.

This European tour started in Newcastle on January 13th and should go on for 26 dates until the end of February. The Parisian's date, the only one in France, was the first outside the UK.

The band is now going to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Check Republic, Switzerland, Poland before coming back the UK to end the tour.

Queen is a mythical band in the UK where, according to its record company Mercury, "one house on three owns one of their first best-of Greatest Hits (1981)" sold at more than 6 million copies.
