Pat Reid, Edmonton Executive Director on @RyanFordMMA

Pat Reid, Executive Director of Edmonton Combative Sports Commission had this to say regarding Ryan Ford's broken arm:

"At the weigh-in, the Commission ringside physician checked Ryan Ford and the 17 other fighters, each passed their pre-fight medical examination that included knuckle push ups to check knuckles, hands, wrists, elbows and shoulders; duck walked to have ankles, knees and hips checked, and had ribs palpated; heart rate and blood pressure were checked, along with eyes tested and heart sounds, etc, also checked - each fighter was thoroughly checked by the Commission ringside physician and declared fit to fight. I mention these tests because they are the standard tests used to screen fighters planning to compete in Edmonton and are public knowledge. You must successfully pass these tests or you are not authorized to fight and would be
eliminated at the weigh in."

A separate email later confirmed the video.

"I just read Ryan Ford's post-fight medical and it says he received an indefinite suspension for a fractured right forearm that is listed as having occurred "pre-fight." I have to assume this means sometime after the weigh in when he was medically cleared. I have no information to confirm or deny this reported injury as having been pre-fight.
