A Parable about the Whore and the Businesswoman
I personally think this is one of the best posts from Anatolij Sharij. Because it concerns not only a narrow current situation in Ukraine but it can be applied to so many life situations. Envy is the worst trait - either in a single human being or an entire nation. Pity the haters. There is nothing else in life for those poor souls. Read it, copy it, save it on your computer - send it every time when some troll calls you "Putin's whore" :-)))

I have been always dumbfounded by a particular sort of questions ( I know them by heart - because I get "asked" all the time) from a particular kind of people.
This kind of people, by the way, have a singular habit of decorating their social media with militantly "patriotic" imagery - Cossaks with cannons or masked people. And of course, the flags.
So, the "conversation" goes something like this :
"How much do they pay you?"
"For how much did you sell out?" etc.
First of all - "they pay you".
Oh, those mysterious "they" - anonymously faceless and thus - doubly sinister!
It's the very anonymity of "they" that allows the attacker to hurl an accusation at your face without citing a single fact.
Because the fact is the worst enemy of an aggressive person who might be bursting at seams with impotent hatred but is utterly devoid of concrete proofs.
Let's imagine a situation - an encounter between a prostitute and a businesswoman.
It will never occure to a businesswoman to ask the prostitute: "Hey, they must be paying you real' well to do all those blowjobs?"
But the prostitute line of thought is to ask the businesswoman:
"Just look at that fancy sports car of yours! How many times did you have to spread your legs to get it?"
The thought will never cross her primitive mind that - yes, another woman can spend sleepless nights working hard - but with her brain, not her genitals.
What will the thief ask if he encounters a successful businessman ? "Wow, whom did you rob to build this kind of a company?"
Because it will never occure to a thief that money can be earned and invested , not stolen or acquired by fraud.
When I listen to Andrea Bocelli singing I don't sit, wondering "Sh*t, how much dough this dude must be making per night!"
but rather "What a magic voice, what a huge talent!"
Anybody who asks "those" kinds of questions is shooting himself square in a foot. Because he demonstrates his utter lack of understanding how anybody else can do things which he, the accuser, would only do for money.
Speaking for myself, I don't care what the liars and fake-makers earn for their media work. Why would I give a flying duck over what kind of money is Boutousov making?
I might be more curious to find how much in taxes does the media pay to the free-at-last state. But I don't care. My guess - exactly the same amount as to not-so-free state before. A big zero.
The prostitute will always think as a prostitute. Because she can't raise herself above her own primitive level . That's my thought for tonight. The end.
