#gamergate @farttocontinue @sargon_of_akkad On psychological projection, doublethink, and hypocrisy

I am not one of the opinion to engage in directed attacks except when appropriate. Well, this is one of those times. I was watching Sargon of Akkad's video about Alex Lifschitz,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51McaZrra7w

and noticed something in particular about the first minute of the video: his parentage and wealth, his connections, and their source. Namely, that his father is president of a group that enjoys numerous military contracts (particularly with corporations -- Boeing, General Dynamics, and Raytheon -- and design and build unmanned aerial vehicles), engages in real estate speculation, and as far as I can tell, venture capital.

Basically, the Gehr Group, and by extension David Lifschitz as its president, is the personification of the worst -- the most depraved, corrupt, and harmful to everyday people -- of the '00s and the Bush administration. Or perhaps more accurately said, as close as one can get outside of the actual Bush administration or perhaps Halliburton...and this is the source of his wealth. I believe it's insufficient to call Alex Lifschitz a "trust fund baby", he is the beneficiary of blood money.

This is a person who vehemently criticizes violent and militaristic games where the player through their character(s) is called upon to predate other people. While simultaneously criticizing and extolling the virtues of payola. Is it any wonder his only gaming industry credentials are a Call of Duty game, and a Fallout game?

Sargon is absolutely correct in pointing out this is psychological projection and hypocrisy of the highest order, but I believe Sargon is off the mark as to its ultimate source which I believe at this point to be quite clear.
